Not content with his very strong global presence, in summer 2004 Mauro continued his global domination by unleashing his Meganite brand on the party hedonists mecca, the white island of Ibiza. Mauro planned his strategy positively; not satisfied with a few banners and a strobe, he insisted on a complete makeover of Privilege. This famous venue was reduced exclusively for Meganite to a bite size of 3000 people. 35 sq.ft. projection walls, new stages and sound system helped set this event apart from the norm. Following the Ibiza season, Meganite’s tour landed in the States where Picotto is already one of the biggest hitters. Meganite was launched at WMC 2003 at Space Miami and has held residencies all over the world including New York, London, Amsterdam as well as tours of South America. Meganite was created as an electronic music lifestyle, this enabling the many artists freedom to play the music they want and not what the fans of pigeon holing say they should. Mauro Picotto’s long anticipated third artist album, Giganite, is due for release in Spring 2005. This latest work will define and underline Picotto as one of electronic music most consistent producers. He has continually reinvented both himself and his sound and continues to set the benchmark for years to come. Mauro has continued to defy the critics by constantly changing the public perception; he has crossed musical genres while others have fallen by the way side, from the untrained eye with relative ease. Mauro Picotto encapsulates his emotions with endless energy, in both his life and his work.
